    • Executive Chef

      ABOUT THE POSITION

      The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing the entire kitchen program, including food and beverage production, ordering, staffing, and kitchen organization. Everything related to big picture food production is the direct responsibility of the Executive Chef, including hiring, training, and retaining staff, maintaining desired food and labor costs, and adhering to the highest food quality standards. The primary goal of the position is to ensure the quality and consistency of the food, while liaising with the Events Director and Event Operations Director.

      DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Oversee all food & beverage ordering and production
      • Maintain kitchen organization and cleanliness
      • Create recipes as needed for custom menu requests
      • Update menus quarterly to fit with the international comfort food vision
      • Be a mentor to the kitchen staff and invest in their betterment professionally
      • Directly manage Sous Chef and Events Sous Chef
      • Work 1-2 shifts in the kitchen weekly
      • Introduce and implement standards as the business continues to grow
      • Liaise with Events Director to ensure client requests are executed correctly by the kitchen team
      • Liaise with Event Operations Director to facilitate streamlined processes in reheating and packing
      • Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and fully functional
      • Complete administrative tasks as necessary

      QUALIFICATIONS

      Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

      • Familiarity with a wide range of cuisines, ingredients, and cooking styles
      • Must work well within a growing company and be able to provide helpful insight into creating new structures and systems as we continue to expand
      • Experience setting and adhering to food cost and labor cost goals
      • Strong communication skills, particularly in relaying information to the kitchen team and other directors
      • Strong attention to detail
      • Ability to effectively juggle multiple projects at once while focusing on the big picture
      • Working knowledge of Total Party Planner or other comparable event planning software
      • Working knowledge of Google drive and Microsoft Office
      • ServSafe and DC DOH certification preferred

      Experience

      • At least three years as sous chef, executive sous chef, executive chef, or comparable position
      • At least seven years overall industry experience
      • Culinary school graduate preferred

    • Wedding Planning Specialist

      Reports to: Sales Director

      ABOUT THE POSITION

      The Wedding Planning Specialist is responsible for ensuring the highest level customer service to prospective wedding clients. All matters related to wedding proposals, sales, and contracts are the direct responsibility of the Wedding Planning Specialist. The primary goal of the position is to quickly and effectively execute the process from inquiry to contract for all weddings.

      DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      Manage all weddings inquiries, proposals, and contract

      Coordinate tastings with Executive Chef

      Execute tastings

      On-site event management, as necessary

      Liaise with Events Director to coordinate successful events

      Complete administrative tasks as necessary

      QUALIFICATIONS

      Strong communication skills, particularly in translating client expectations to the event ops and kitchen teams

      Strong attention to detail

      Ability to effectively juggle multiple projects at once while focusing on the big picture

      Working knowledge of Total Party Planner or other comparable event planning software

      EXPERIENCE

      At least one year of event planning or comparable experience
